Florida-based communication solutions and services provider Teltronics (News - Alert) Inc. recently announced that its 20-20 IXP VoIP platform now comes integrated with Esna Technologies Inc.’s SIP-based unified messaging UM) platform, Telephony Office-Linx (TOLee).

The 20-20 IXP, dubbed by Teltronics as the “Gateway (News - Alert) to the VoIP Evolution,” works with legacy systems while at the same time allowing enterprises and SMBs to profit from the enhanced capabilities of VoIP. The non-blocking digital system scales from 256 to 9,216 ports and provides full tandem switching features, as well as standard and advanced calling features. The powerful and flexible solution works with a wide range of gateways including: VoIP with transparent TDN, H.323, and IP Phone gateways, as well as 911, SS7, analog & digital PSTN gateways, ISDN (PRI & Euro ISDN) and QSIG gateways.

According to Teltronics, the 20-20 IXP solution is already deployed with a wide range of businesses, utilities, governments and public institutions worldwide.

Meanwhile, Esnatech’s Telephony Office Linx is a real-time voicemail communications solution designed to serve companies of all sizes. The “all-in-one” platform, which is compatible with most IP-PBX telephone systems, offers an advanced voicemail system that replaces the built-in functions native in most telephone systems. The platform runs on a dedicated server running Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows 2000 Server or Professional. Features include unified messaging, wireless connectivity, CTI call control, single number “Find Me” function, Web access, instant messaging, speech recognition and text-to-speech for e-mail reading.

TOLee is tightly integrated with Microsoft Windows, Exchange, Office, Terminal Services and Outlook to provide a fully integrated unified messaging solution.

Once the Teltronics 20-20 system becomes IP-enabled, it not only delivers converged communications that boost efficiency and productivity, it also saves companies tons of money by allowing them to bypass the PSTN. In addition, it delivers call detail records for all calls – an essential auditing feature for companies both large and small.

Perhaps most importantly, the integration of SIP-based UM eliminates the need for costly analog voice cards in favor of cost-competitive and full-featured IP cards.

SIP integration reduces the cost of hardware, provides flexibility in terms of deployment location and remote site support, and also lends support for high-availability and resiliency initiatives,” said Richard Begando, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Teltronics, in a press release. “SIP allows Teltronics to provide a cost-effective and seamless integration into different business applications and deliver real-time availability of content from any access point to our customers.”
