Fujitsu Wins Frost and Sullivan Award for Biometric Device

Fujitsu Computer Products of America Inc. has been awarded the Frost & Sullivan Product Innovation of the Year Award for its palm vein authentication device, PalmSecure. The biometric device has been recognized for its high level of security, performance reliability and consistent quality, and extensive user acceptance due to its non-invasive, contactless authentication process.
 
Frost & Sullivan evaluates products on the basis of their competitive advantages and magnitude of their relevant contributions their respective industries, before deciding on the final recipient of the Product Innovation of the Year Award. They also look into factors like unique or revolutionary technology, the general product acceptance by the public and the sales figures as well.
 
“With its revolutionary technology, competitive advantage, and mass product acceptance, Fujitsu's PalmSecure is well positioned to penetrate the financial, health care, and government access control market," said Frost and Sullivan analyst Imran Kahn, in a statement.
 
"We're experiencing growth in the marketplace adoption of the PalmSecure device in the United States, and the Frost & Sullivan Award further validates Fujitsu in serving the industry's complex business needs." said Joel Hagberg, vice president, marketing and business development, Fujitsu Computer Products of America Inc., in a statement.
